Tulamben Bali Diving Area

The diving destinations Tulamben and Amed (Cemeluk) are located on the northeast coast at the foot of the volcano Gunung Agung.

Here lies the great overgrown U.S. Liberty wreck. The U.S. is a Liberty cargo ship which is on 11 January 1942 (during the Second World War) in the Straits of Lombok sea by the Japanese torpedoes.

She was then two destroyers in the direction of Singaraja towed, but there is always more water came, it was at Tulamben on the beach. His cargo was salvaged from the residents.

During the outbreak of large Gunung Agung in 1963, the ship from the beach into the sea pushed, broke into pieces and came close to the shore in his current position.

This wreck is a very popular dive site. At noon, and afternoon is teeming of divers and snorkeling, because the wreck is not very deep.

Instead of Lovina or Kuta-Legian station I recommend, in a nice bungalow plants in Tulamben to stay in the morning and all the rest in the wreck to dive (better vision).

In the afternoon, you can get the other dive sites in the area visit, which also awards night, and a night dive enjoy.

Taman Ayun Temple of Mengwi

Taman Ayun Temple was royal temple of Mengwi Kingdom who survived until 1891 when it was conquered by the neighboring kingdoms of Tabanan and Badung.

Constantly enriched and restored since it was founded in the seventeenth century, Taman ayun is the temple of the royal family of Mengwi.

Surrounded by a wide moat populated with waterlilies, it is accessed by a bridge, then we must take a monumental door that gives access to a peaceful garden.

The most remarkable is that dedicated to Mount Agung with its 11 roofs (as many as possible so the most holy).

Other merus are dedicated to Mount Batur, to the goddess Sri (goddess of rice) or ancestral gods of the Majapahit kingdom (which colonisa Bali in the fourteenth century) ... Many pavilions, or ceremonial practices are scattered throughout the sacred temple. Although tourism.

The Taman Sayun is a pleasant place to visit, where the calm of the elements, the balance and architectural space incite meditation

The name means Taman Ayun garden. This temple was built by the King of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Anom in 1634.

The date of construction is expressed on a door carved with timetable reads "Sad Bhuta Yaksa Dewa": 1634 AD. The temple was renovated in 1949 and 1972 from the rooftops dark fiber were renewed, most recently in 1976 has been built around the pavilion called 'Bale Kulkul.

Tabanan Rice Fields Bali

Tabanan is west Bali I was amazed again at the amount of sawah (rice fields).

Living in the concrete jungle in Seminyak I don’t see too much green and being surrounded by rolling hills covered with rice terraces is amazing.

Watching Balinese locals calmly go about their work, the massive task of maintaining the rice fields and preparing them for planting, is a good thing.

This aspect of Bali won’t hcange too much and the island can always rely on a supply of rice and jobs in the fields.

Of course I don’t want a job is a rice field. I’m sure any young Balinese who has worked in a shop in Kuta does not relish going back to help out mum and dad in the sawah.
