Kintamani Fantastic Lake

The villages of Kintamani and Penelokan provide great views of the still active Mount Batur and its fantastic lake.

Seven miles in diameter and sixty feet deep, the caldera of Batur is simply astounding.

From Penelokan, take the road Kedisan on the shores of the lake where boats can be rented to cross over to Trunyan.

Kintamani is located on the high plateau in the northeast of Bali. It has amazing mountainous view and fresh air. Mount Batur and Lake Batur can be seen from this place.

There is an ancient village named Trunyan in the Lake Batur area. The people in the village are called "Bali Aga" which means "The original Balinese". They still maintain their old cultures. The unique culture of these people is to put on dead bodies under the trees without burying them.
