Tulamben Bali Diving Area
The diving destinations Tulamben and Amed (Cemeluk) are located on the northeast coast at the foot of the volcano Gunung Agung.
Here lies the great overgrown U.S. Liberty wreck. The U.S. is a Liberty cargo ship which is on 11 January 1942 (during the Second World War) in the Straits of Lombok sea by the Japanese torpedoes.
She was then two destroyers in the direction of Singaraja towed, but there is always more water came, it was at Tulamben on the beach. His cargo was salvaged from the residents.
During the outbreak of large Gunung Agung in 1963, the ship from the beach into the sea pushed, broke into pieces and came close to the shore in his current position.
This wreck is a very popular dive site. At noon, and afternoon is teeming of divers and snorkeling, because the wreck is not very deep.
Instead of Lovina or Kuta-Legian station I recommend, in a nice bungalow plants in Tulamben to stay in the morning and all the rest in the wreck to dive (better vision).
In the afternoon, you can get the other dive sites in the area visit, which also awards night, and a night dive enjoy.
